Irritable bowel syndrome
About 10% of people suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Women tend to be more affected. The diverse symptoms can vary in severity. If they persist for at least three months and impair quality of life, medical evaluation is advisable.

Please note that we do not provide a second opinion, but rather form our own comprehensive opinion and carry out most of the examinations ourselves during our private consultations.
To clarify the symptoms and develop a personalized therapy plan, we carry out the following steps:
The first step is a detailed medical history. We discuss possible triggers and verify the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). We then jointly formulate a treatment goal and complete the diagnostic tests.
As part of the diagnostic process, we examine your abdomen and conduct additional laboratory and stool tests. Depending on your symptoms, additional tests may be required.
Finally, we discuss all the results and determine whether the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome is still valid. If confirmed, we will create an individualized treatment plan, which typically lasts two to three months. We will stay in close contact with you to identify any changes in your symptoms early on and adjust your treatment if necessary.
Our goal is to provide noticeable relief from your symptoms and a lasting improvement in your quality of life.
